Elder Care Services
If you are preparing for a loved one to return home after a long hospital stay, searching for an alternative to a long-term facility placement, or just concerned about a parent/loved one residing alone, our in-home aide services are the answer for clients who  wish to continue with a semi-independent lifestyle.

Children
We provide care for disabled children with CAP-C benefits that need assistance with activities of daily living.

Home Care Services for the Physically Challenged and Convalescing
We are able to offer physical and emotional support while developing meaningful and lasting relationships regardless of whether the physical disability is temporary or permanent, due to a birth condition, a serious injury, terminal illness or surgery.

Nursing Home or Hospitalized Clients
Often loved ones may need extra attention beyond what an institution may provide.

Respite Care to Relieve Family Members
Relieving other caregivers so that they can work or have a break from round-the-clock care helps family members by relieving them so they may run their own errands, etc.

Key activities of daily life which keep people living independently and safely are the basic functions in life that must be accomplished. When people can't do these activities independently, they all too often end up in facilities instead of remaining in their homes where they want to be. These basic activities include:

  • Assisting with meal preparation for the client

  • Assist with bathing, showering, shampooing and shaving

  • Assist with getting into and out of bed

  • Assist with dressing

  • Provide meals

  • Medication reminders

  • Range of motion exercises

  • Assist with incontinent care

  • Toileting

  • Emptying catheter bags

  • Assist with ambulation and transfers

  • Laundry

  • Light Housekeeping

  • Transportation

  • Socialization

  • Running errands for the client

  • Reading and letter writing assistance

  • Overseeing home deliveries and repairs

  • Shopping and errands

  • Planning visits and social outings

  • Companionship

Using our caregiver services can also have other benefits

  • Providing companionship and security for the frail or handicapped

  • Relieving other caregivers so that they can work or have a break from round-the-clock care

  • Offering re-assurance to a client

  • Assisting elderly and/or handicapped individuals at specific times or for specific tasks

  • One on one companionship that eliminates social isolation through the following kinds of activities:

    • Writing/correspondence
    • Reading
    • Conversation
    • Entertainment
    • Arts and crafts and games

The process of arranging for a  Caregiver is not complicated. One of our R.N.s call the physician to obtain a verbal order to evaluate for services; then makes a home visit to assess the clients current health situation.  A care plan is devised based on the client's needs. We also request specifics regarding your household living arrangements, and information regarding a convenient payment schedule if not covered by Medicaid.

Our caregivers are carefully screened and insured. They meet our high standard of quality, because we know how important it is to you and your family. Also since they are Home Care at the Lake, Inc. employees, there is no worry about taxes, Social Security or supervision. We understand that everyone's situation is unique and with that in mind our services are highly personalized. Great care is taken to match caregivers with similar interests, personalities and abilities to ensure quality care and compatibility. Our care providers receive ongoing training and are carefully instructed on the support and special requirements of each individual and family. They are people with a kind heart and a gentle touch who understand  special needs. The family participates in the employee selection process whenever possible.

We help make independent living at home a possibility for you or the people you care about.

Drop us a line, we would love to hear from you!
